Help Guide › Owner
Money you take out of the business, or put into it, is recorded under Owner draws on the Dashboard — never as an expense.
This matters: a draw is not a business cost. Filing it as one understates your profit and, on a tax return, claims a deduction that isn't allowed. A draw moves Cash Position and nothing else — revenue, cost of goods, gross profit, net profit and operating expenses are all untouched.
Stock you take for your own use is the same idea in product rather than cash — see Stock Adjustments.
